"In the field of optical communications in China, FiberHome Technologies Group has always ranked in the forefront." --Minister of Information Industry Wu Jichuan

The long, long years have witnessed the brilliant achievements of FiberHome Technologies. With their own warm blood and dedication, the FiberHome people have created a series of "firsts" in China in the optical communication field: In 1976, FiberHome Technologies pulled out the first piece of optical fiber in China.

In 1982, FiberHome Technologies put a fiber-optic communication system project into operation               the first time in China, marking China's entry upon the digital communication era.
In 1992, the National Research Center of Fiber-Optic Communication Technologies and               engineering was set up in FiberHome Technologies.
In 1993, FiberHome Technologies developed the first set of 565Mb/s PDH equipment in China.
In 1994, Asia-Pacific Telecom (APT) Training Center and MII Optical Communication Quality               Inspection Center were set up in FiberHome Technologies.
In 1995, FiberHome Technologies developed the first set of SDH equipment in China.
In 1997, FiberHome Technologies developed EDFA products with ultra-large capacity and               ultra-long haul optical transmission for the first time in China.
In 1997, FiberHome Technologies developed the first DWDM system in China.
In 1998, the National Optoelectronic Technology Research Center was set up in FiberHome               Technologies.
In 1999, FiberHome Technologies developed the first 10Gb/s SDH system and 32x2.5Gb/s               DWDM system in China.
In 2000, FiberHome Technologies developed the first 32x10Gb/s DWDM system and OXC and               OADM equipment in China. FiberHome Technologies presented to ITU-T its first IP               communication standard (ITU-T X.85), which was adopted by ITU-T, the first ITU-T               standard ever suggested by a Chinese scientist. China started to rewrite the               communication history of the world.
In 2001, FiberHome Technologies developed the first set of interconnecting and interworking full               optical network equipment in the world, which was applied in an operational project in               the same year, and presented to ITU-T its second IP communication standard (ITUT-T               X. 86), which was duly adopted, setting a sign post for telecommunication               development.
In 2002, FiberHome Technologies presented to ITU-T its third IP communication standard, i.e.               MAN multi-service loop (MSL) standard, which has been duly adopted. It developed the               first set of 1.6T DWDM system in China.
In 2003, FiberHome Technologies presented to ITU-T its third IP communication standard
(ITU-T X.87) and was approved by ITU-T. The first set of ultra long-haul
optical transmission system (ULH) was developed here.

With elaborate design and indefatigable innovation, FiberHome Technologies has established an internationally standardized quality assurance system and constantly improved engineering service capabilities. It has completed several ten thousand stably running key projects for the operators both at home and abroad.

In 1994, FiberHome Technologies completed a 565Mb/s PDH project with the longest span
      in the world.
In 1997, FiberHome Technologies completed the first Chinese-made 2.5G SDH project.
In 1998, FiberHome Technologies completed the first 8x2.5G DWDM project in China.
In 2000, FiberHome Technologies completed the first 32x2.5G DWDM project in China.
In 2001, FiberHome Technologies completed the first 32x10G DWDM project in China.
In 2002, FiberHome Technologies completed the first 1.6T optical transmission project in China.
In 2003, FiberHome Technologies applied its Raman optical amplifier with its own IPR in China.
